A Mini Review on Thin Film Superconductors

نویسندگان

چکیده

Thin superconducting films have been a significant part of superconductivity research for more than six decades. They had impact on the existing consensus microscopic and macroscopic nature state. Thin-film superconductors properties that are very different superior to bulk material. Amongst various classification criteria, thin-film can be classified into Fe based superconductors, layered titanium compound intercalation compounds cage-like structures, other do not fall these groups. There techniques manufacturing thin films, which include atomic layer deposition (ALD), chemical vapour (CVD), physical (PVD), molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), sputtering, electron evaporation, laser ablation, cathodic arc, pulsed (PLD). film technology offers lucrative scheme creating engineered surfaces opens wide exploration prospects modify material specific applications, such as those depend surfaces. This review paper reports types groups fabrication by MBE, PLD, ALD, their challenges faced superconductor technologies. all techniques, focus is put because growing popularity process has gained in past decade.

Comparative Review on Thin Film Growth of Iron-Based Superconductors

Since the discovery of the novel iron-based superconductors, both theoretical and experimental studies have been performed intensively. Because iron-based superconductors have a smaller anisotropy than high-Tc cuprates and a high superconducting transition temperature, there have been a lot of researchers working on the film fabrication of iron-based superconductors and their application. Accor...

Universal self-field critical current for thin-film superconductors

For any practical superconductor the magnitude of the critical current density, Jc, is crucially important. It sets the upper limit for current in the conductor. Usually Jc falls rapidly with increasing external magnetic field, but even in zero external field the current flowing in the conductor generates a self-field that limits Jc. Here we show for thin films of thickness less than the London...

Fate of the Josephson effect in thin-film superconductors

The dc Josephson effect refers to the dissipationless electrical current – the supercurrent – that can be sustained across a weak link connecting two bulk superconductors.1 This effect is a probe of the fundamental nature of the superconducting state, which depends crucially on the spatial dimensionality of the superconducting electrodes. For bulk (i.e. threedimensional) superconductors, the su...

Performance of Thin Film Transistor: A Review

Transparent electronics becomes one of the most advanced topics for wide range of device applications. The key components are wide band gap semiconductors, where oxides of different origins play an important role as passive component and also as active component, similar to what is observed in conventional semiconductors like silicon. Transparent electronics has gained special attention during ...
